FORGIVEN - Stories of Redemption & Restorative Justic (In Production)

Director • Cinematographer • Editor

This film documents real life stories of the power of forgiveness in the cases of violent crimes. It profiles the families and the prosecuted in the profound transformation that results from this courageous act.

It also explores the subject of nature vs. nurture and how only 4% of violent criminals are actually born with something physically or psychologically wrong, and the other 96% are a product of our societal conditioning, institutional prejudice and our countries obsession with retribution over rehabilitation.

In a glimmer of hope this film profiles the hundreds of programs and organizations that are committed to restorative justice, rehabilitation and restoring our communities to ensure everyone has an equal chance to a life of success and freedom in America

After quitting her job at the World Trade Center Rhea Zimmerman finds herself 9 months later, on 9/11, feeling afraid, horrified, and wondering what she could do to help humanity. She finds her answer and her healing when she fuels herself with purpose by becoming a chiropractor.

Eleven years later we join her on a five day chiropractic service trip to Peru with her new boyfriend Austin and her friend Alejandra. We see how their work affects the thousands that they touch, and ultimately, how they are transformed through their service.

How can traumas ultimately transform us? What is the power of love and how can we find it within ourselves? What is our own 'Love Bomb'?

Featuring Joseph Chilton Pearce, Gabrielle Bernstein, Bruce Lipton, and more.
